I'm sure you have!  And, I suspect the next thought was "it's too complicated".  In some cases, starting your own business can be complicated.  However, not all industries require complex setup to get going.

I've operated my own 1-man Technology Contracting business off/on for decades.  It's an extremely flexible business.  Basically, you're offering a service to multiple wholesale customers who need experienced techs to do field assignments.  You're your own boss.  You decide what assignments to take or pass-on.
